Teaching children about scorpions is not as difficult as getting some adults to overcome their lifelong fear of scorpions.  Using inexpensive scorpion items (toys, dolls, action figures, dog toys, & even golf club covers) that can easily be purchased on the internet, you can familiarize a young child so they can identify scorpions though a series of educational games.

So what are some scorpion toys I have used to introduce children to scorpions? Here are a few of the ones I use in my Scorpion 101 Classes that I can teach to your kids in your home:

An adult can also be conditioned to act calmly and not panic around scorpions. (The Daphne's Golf Head Cover is so soft, my wife snuggles with it like it was a teddy bear.) You might not want to snuggle up with a scorpion, but I can safely show you in your own home how scorpions move, attack, and retreat. You can learn to anticipate what a scorpion will do, where it will go, and how to either kill it, or capture it.

If you have just moved to Arizona and have never experienced scorpions, or if you are already scorpion hunting and want to improve your skills, a Scorpion 101 Class just might be what you or your family needs to introduce yourself to scorpions and become educated instead of fearful of these desert dwellers.
